Eldorado Emerson is an independent, nonsectarian, college preparatory school for
boys and girls in grades preschool through 12. Our outstanding academic programs and
the exceptional student experience we offer have enabled Eldorado Emerson to receive
the highest accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Founded over fifty years ago, Eldorado Emerson embraces the whole child philosophy, making
sure that life and learning are in balance.

Our student/teacher ratio of approximately 10:1 guarantees one-on-one attention
for all students, nurturing them both academically and socially. Our unique campus
on over five acres provides an outstanding environment for learning. Whether crossing
the bridge over the pond in our Monet Garden or creating masterpieces in our exceptional
art studio, children are happy to come to school. They feel safe – as we enforce
a zero tolerance policy for bullying – and children who feel safe are able to give
their full attention to intellectual and personal growth.
Children who have attended Eldorado Emerson for more than three years score, on
average, two grade levels higher on standardized tests. However, standardized tests
are not the focus of our curriculum. While we have the highest of academic standards,
we also provide exceptional programs in music, art, theater, and foreign language
for all grades. Perhaps most importantly, we help children to build character and
integrity. We instill a sense of confidence in our students, helping them to make
the right decisions as they grow into adults. Another way we do this is through
our athletic programs where children can observe and create vivid examples of excellence.
Our multiple sports teams for both boys and girls have garnered league championships.
Ultimately, our dedicated teachers and family-like atmosphere foster a love of learning.
Our students go on to the best colleges and universities in the country, and just
as importantly become human beings who make parents proud.
