In Ms. Farag's biology class, students participated in a term project where they became experts and taught their peers. Each student was assigned to a group that collectively researched and prepared a 30 minute lecture and visual presentation on a system of the human body and related diseases. From the Nervous System to Digestive System, the students had a blast learning from one another and were tested on their peers' lectures on the final exam.
Students in middle school Japanese class did an outstanding job developing and performing their own wacky Japanese game shows, incorporating vocabulary from the units they have studied this semester.
During our school-wide jog-a-thon, students and teachers gathered together to run, walk, skip, or even kick soccer balls around our field to raise money for girls' volleyball team uniforms and new smart boards. Preschoolers even joined in with their very own trike-a-thon. Part of the proceeds will be donated to providing life-changing technology for non-verbal children with autism.
Chameleons and Dragonflies students, along with teachers and parents, enjoyed a great field trip to the Newport Sea Base. They rode a boat out into the bay, touched a shark, identified several species of California birds, learned about pollution, and watched a large ship digging sand to make the back bay deeper for boats coming toward shore.
Each year the Senior class, with their homeroom teacher Mr. North, prepares their own Thanksgiving feast.
High school Economics class students set up a test lab and conducted market research with students from different grades. In these pictures, 1st and 2nd graders are doing taste tests and completing marketing surveys.
Our youngest scholars had a great time planting and watering their very own garden, and Dr. Ludwick was on-hand to admire a job well done!
The 6th grade Astronomy class made a scaled model of the solar system. They converted the distances of each planet from the sun from AU (astronomical unit) to meters. They had so much fun, and they were surprised to see how far the outer gas giants really were.
Our end-of-summer-session art exhibition was a huge success, with students in 2nd through 12th grade proudly displaying handcrafted ceramics, decorative pillows, and heritage paintings.
The Orange County Register ran an article about Eldorado Emerson's very own Summer Olympic games.
During summer session, students from the girls' yoga and pilates class practiced new yoga poses in our Monet Garden.
The whole school rallied around to watch junior and senior high school students battle it out in Mr. North's Annual Robot Wars! Competitors custom-engineered remote control robots using many innovations like the hook, the water short-circuiter, and incline planes to outlast or knock opponents out of the sumo-style ring and become crowned the new Robot Wars! champion.

Excellent Eldorado Emerson actors, directed by Mr. Dan Merket, wowed the audience with three one-act plays: a science fiction romance, a comedy, and a suspense story.

In an exciting final game, Eldorado Emerson Private School's soccer team won the spring league championship with a score of 4-3. It was a strong team effort, with Luc Cohen-Wanis scoring the winning goal. Go, Bears!
Each spring our Eldorado Emerson family looks forward to the schoolwide Talent Show.

Eldorado Emerson's very own “Team Pikachu Robotics Team” designed and built a remote-controlled robot that took them all the way to the finals at the San Diego VEX Robotics Regional Competition. They took home several awards, including the prestigious Judges' Award for sportsmanship and leadership.
