Reading Specialist
Ms. Lu Nelson, a founding member of the school, has been a part of the Eldorado
community since 1958. Beginning as an elementary teacher at Eldorado Emerson, she later found her passion in teaching young students how to read. She works with preschool through young elementary students as a reading specialist, and also tutors students in mathematics.
"After helping a few students with their math, I introduced the place value chart. One of them begged to take the chart home so that she could work on it! I love seeing students excited to learn, and we are a school who prioritizes a love of learning in all students."
